Lesson Observation Rubric · TeachConnect · www.teachconnect.in/lesson-observation-rubric
One rubric for every kind of observation.
The rubric covers the whole arc of a lesson: planning and preparation, instructional delivery, student engagement and learning, classroom management, and assessment and feedback. Each criterion is scored 1 (needs improvement) to 4 (excellent) against a written descriptor, so two observers watching the same lesson land on the same number.
Totals map to four performance bands — 55–68 excellent, 40–54 good, 25–39 developing, and below 25 needs support — and the sheet records the observation type (announced, walkthrough, coaching or appraisal), agreed action points and a next review date, with signature lines for the observer, the teacher and the principal. Your draft stays on this device until you clear it; nothing is uploaded and no account is needed.
